Makespace crew makes Dean Corbett's "An American Place" it's place!

The designer and programmers of Makespace! Media & Design Lab have made Dean Corbett's new restaurant "An American Place" their choice of establishments for their after work cocktail. The Makespace team, known for their "work hard, play hard" attitude and sense of design, say the new north east Louisville bistro matches their taste. "Like great design, form meets function here", says Makespace! Creative Director Rob Miles. "And it gets points for understated elegance and style. Hell, it's so cool that we'd have done their website for free!" You're likely to find one or more of the Louisville design firm's guys here most weekday evenings after a hard day in the studio. Said Head Programmer David "Woody" Woodmansee: "Maybe one day we'll try the food."

Makespace! Migrates to Another Server

Louisville, KY.
Makespace Media & Design Lab's website, makespacelab.com, is in the process of moving to another server. The former server, Pow Web, wasn't able to meet the bandwidth and traffic needs of Makespace! and their web design clients and was providing very slow loading time. After contacting the Pow Web support department numerous times the issue remained resolved. The crew at Makespace!, who pride themselves on customer service, came to the conclusion that this simply was not up to their standards and decided that they needed to part ways with Pow Web. This weekend, Makespace! web programming genius David "Woody" Woodmansee will oversee the transfer to a dedicated server provided by Go Daddy. Once complete, visitors to the makespace! Media & Design Lab will experience faster loading times and an much more pleasant experience over all. Makespace! Media & Design Lab will also become an affiliate or their new hosting service, Go Daddy, and will offer special hosting rates for their web site design customers in Louisville, KY.
